Are you interested in how math is learned? Consider joining this team, regardless of your math expertise!

What is it?

The Elementary Math Development Team will dive into the math standards and research with Dr. Anita Lenges from the University of Washington. We'll do math together, explore how math is learned and go into classrooms to develop a vision of math instruction that will guide a future curriculum adoption for elementary math.

When will the team meet?

The Elementary Math Development Team will meet twice before the end of the school year, engage in a book/article study over the summer, and pick up our work again in the fall.

Do I need to be a math expert to participate?

No, all you need is an interest in how children learn math. Warning: you may learn some math by participating!

How can I participate?

Please submit this form or contact Kristin Edlund in the Teaching & Learning Department at edlundk@rsd407.org or 425-844-4520.
